The woman, who had a high blood alcohol content of 0.3 percent, was crossing railroad tracks on Wednesday morning in the southern German city when a Eurocity train approached at 140 kilometres per hour.

The train conductor blew his horn at the 61-year-old woman, who responded by laying down between the tracks. Unable to stop in time despite employing his emergency brake, the conductor drove over the woman with the entire length of the train, police said.

After the train went by, the woman stood up and walked to a nearby boarding platform, apparently uninjured.

Police are investigating the woman for dangerous interference with rail traffic.

The Eurocity train headed from Zurich to Munich was just seven minutes late to its destination, and no passengers were injured during the sudden braking.
