The newspaper said Boris Becker TV would broadcast clips of the three-time Wimbledon champ playing with his children, donating to charitable causes and preparing for his wedding to Lilly Kerssenberg in St Moritz in Switzerland in June this year.
“Whether I like it or not, I’m a public personality. A lot has been written about me in my private life,” the 41-year-old told the newspaper. “But now thanks to Boris Becker TV, I will be able to show what I am really like, how important my family is to me.”
Becker, who is a staple of German tabloids and celebrity magazines, first made plans of his wedding – his second – to Kerssenberg on a popular German television show in February. On the show, Becker jumped through a burning heart of fire as if to prove his love for the Dutch model.
German private television station RTL has reportedly obtained the “worldwide TV rights” to the event. Bild reported that a camera team is to accompany the couple as they travel around the world after the wedding.
The paper reported that Becker had set up his new website together with business partner Peter Lauterbach. Becker’s last internet venture, a site called Sportgate, went bankrupt just months after it was launched in 2001.
