According to the prosecutor the teenager was probably murdered at the scene.
The arrested men are a 23-year-old, on suspicion of murder, a 24-year-old, and a 17-year-old who are both suspected of complicity in the crime. All three deny involvement in the murder.
The two older men were also arrested on additional charges of robbery and attempted robbery.
Both deny the charges. The younger man has however admitted complicity to commit robbery.
Gothenburg district court on Friday remanded the three men into custody as it was feared that the suspects could destroy evidence if they were released. There was also a real risk that they would continue with their criminal activities, the court ruled.
The prosecutor has until December 19th to bring charges against the men.
The murdered teenager was found lying dead behind a barrier along the Carl Skottbergs gata in the Gothenburg suburb of Änggården on Sunday morning.
The man was found by a passer-by shortly after 9am.
Police technicians have examined the area around where the teenager’s body was found and concluded that it is most likely the scene of the attack and his murder.
