Berlin is beautiful any time of year, but for the next week and a half, when the city is swathed in pink, blue, yellow, and green lights, it will surely be a site to behold. International Sound Art Festival

Gerhard Richter
There is no end to the depth of a Gerhard Richter painting, and an exhibition of around forty of them opens Saturday at Cologne’s Museum Ludwig. With a focus on abstract works produced since the mid-1970s, the show includes the dozen paintings that make up the 2005 series “Wald,” never before presented in Europe.
