A grower from the German state of Baden-Württemberg entered the massive squash into the annual pumpkin competition in Ludwigsburg on Sunday, winning for both weight and height. Last year’s winner was just 410.2 kilogrammes.

Another pumpkin won the 2008 record for length, at 2.51 metres, a bit shorter than last year’s winner of 2.85 metres.
