Stockholm girls come out on top

A survey by Traveler's Digest, a US travel magazine has made a list of the cities that are home to the world's most beautiful women. Stockholm came out on top.

Rejecting the notion that ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’, Traveler’s Digest set out to settle once and for all which of the world’s cities is home to the most beautiful women. This is what it had to say about the local girls in Sweden’s capital, Stockholm:

“Stockholm is a city filled with the best looking women in the world, women so good looking that when you walk in to a 7-11 you will swear that you have just walked into a reality TV set, What Happens When Supermodels Work at A Convenience Store?”

The women of Stockholm were given credit not only for their striking good looks but also for the fact that they are “extremely educated” and for having a clipped British accent to their English.

In fact, in the view of Traveler’s Digest, the women of Stockholm speak such good British English that one might actually be mistaken for thinking that they were English, if it wasn’t for the fact that they are good-looking as well, of course.

But if the women of Stockholm are not what you are looking for then a short train ride over to neighbouring Denmark and Copenhagen will give you the chance to observe the runners up in their natural habitat.

“It’s like Amsterdam, but instead of hookers, Copenhagen has porn stars,” the magazine concluded.

Buenos Aires flew the flag for South America, taking third place in the list. Completing the top five destinations for loveless male travellers were Varna, Bulgaria and Los Angeles, USA.

France taken to European Court over divorce ruling that woman had ‘marital duty’ to have sex with husband

A case has been brought against France at the European Court of Human Rights by a woman who lost a divorce case after judges ruled against her because she refused to have sex with her husband.

The woman, who has not been named, has brought the case with the backing of two French feminist groups, arguing that the French court ruling contravened human rights legislation by “interference in private life” and “violation of physical integrity”.

It comes after a ruling in the Appeals Court in Versailles which pronounced a fault divorce in 2019 because of her refusal to have sex with her husband.

The court ruled that the facts of the case “established by the admission of the wife, constitute a serious and renewed violation of the duties and obligations of marriage making intolerable the maintenance of a shared life”.

Feminist groups Fondation des femmes (Women’s Foundation) and Collectif fĂ©ministe contre le viol (Feminist Collective against Rape) have backed her appeal, deploring the fact that French justice “continues to impose the marital duty” and “thus denying the right of women to consent or not to sexual relations”.

“Marriage is not and should not be a sexual servitude,” the joint statement says, pointing out that in 47 percent of the 94,000 recorded rapes and attempted rapes per year, the aggressor is the spouse or ex-spouse of the victim.
