Chilly “Jordy” will prove that summer weather in Germany is generally unreliable, bringing cloud cover, rain showers and brief thunder storms in the coming days. Rain isn’t guaranteed in the north and east of the country, though, which means some Germans will still be able to maintain their carcinogenic sun-worshiping ways as cloudless drought conditions persist.
Thursday will be cloudy and rainy with spotty thunder storms, though pockets in the north and northeast will remain pleasant with temperatures as high as 20 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in rainy areas will reach highs of 17 degrees Celsius. The low mountain ranges from the Allgäu region to the Alps near Garmisch-Partenkirchen can expect temperatures between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius.
Friday will bring partial to full cloud cover with more rain showers and short storms, though from the Rhine-Main-Neckar river region to Lausitz, the sun will still shine.
The clouds will disperse in part on Saturday, allowing some sunshine and highs of 16 to 19 degrees Celsius in lower altitudes, but Germans will have to continue wait for summer to return as rain showers will persist.
