Schenström denies sloppy behaviour

Former State Secretary Ulrica Schenström has handed in a written explanation to the government’s Constitution Committee’s investigation into her behaviour last autumn.

Schenström denies sloppy behaviour

She was forced to resign after a night on the town with a journalist from TV4 when she was meant to be on duty.

Being on call meant that she needed to be on a state of alert in the eventuality of a national crisis. Despite being clearly intoxicated that night, Schenström denies accusations that she took her responsibilities lightly.

She writes that she was in continuous touch with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt that evening and up to date with the government’s crisis management.

Schenström refused to appear for a verbal interrogation. Reinfeldt is due to answer questioning on Friday.
