The man was taken to Karolinska University Hospital in Solna by ambulance, where doctors operated on him during the night.
“He was hit by two shots in the back, and we think that he was shot with a small- caliber weapon,” said Thomas Thörnqvist of the Södertörn police to the TT news agency.
The man was shot outdoors and managed to make it home. His landlady called an ambulance.
“We weren’t able to question him; he’s in intensive care, but in stable condition,” said Thörnqvist.
Police don’t know where the crime occurred or what the motive might be.
According to the landlady, the victim told her the shooting took place between Hallunda and Alby.
Police have not yet found any witnesses to the incident.
