“I advise the effected Lidl employees to join together and come to Verdi,” acting Verdi leader Margret Mönig-Raane told German weekly news magazine Stern on Thursday. “Then we can push for a class action suit against Lidl.”
On Wednesday, Stern broke the story that discount grocery chain Lidl had been using miniature cameras to spy on its employees, telling them the cameras were for security.
In response to the accusations, Lidl announced it would stop hiring detective companies and using cameras for employee surveillance.
