As if all that wasn’t bad enough, Sweden got thumped 6-1 by Russia in the final of the bandy world championships in Moscow.
On a more positive note, Susanna Kallur was characteristically impressive in Stuttgart, coming within 0.03 seconds of the 60m hurdles world record.

Later this week, there will be a chance for old rivalries to be renewed when Sweden, Finland, Russia and the Czech Republic face off at the annual LG Hockey Games at the Globe Arena in Stockholm. Tickets are still available for many of the games.
