Drunk crew members stall take-off

A cargo plane has been blocked from taking off from Malmö Airport after two crew members were found to be under the influence of alcohol on Monday morning.

The Russian Antonov plane was ordered to stay on the ground after a breath test revealed that the two crew members were not fit to travel.

The decision was taken after police were informed that the two men, a radio operator and a flight engineer, had been at a party during the night, Skånska Dagbladet reports.

The plane may be permitted to take off later in the day pending the result of a second breath test scheduled to be carried out eight hours after the first.
