“Holiday greetings from Rhodes, where it’s lovely and warm. The food here is very nice,” wrote the happy holidaymaker.
But the card did leave staff at the café with a couple of questions. Who the heck was Inger, for one thing? And, more to the point, why did a postcard sent from a Greek island in August 1982 not make through the letter box until now, more than 25 years later?
“Talk about snail mail,” said staff member Gunilla Johansson.
Workers at the café are now hoping that the mystery traveller makes herself known.
“Maybe she worked here in the cafe, or elsewhere in the building. It would be fantastic if she got in touch,” said staff member Gunilla Johansson.
