CEO Richard Bergfors recently travelled to the region to meet with possible franchise partners.
Max expects to open some 50 outlets in Saudi Arabia alone, said Bergfors in a statement.
According to the company, fast food is gaining in popularity in the Middle East with a particular demand for healthy fast food as well as alternatives to American chains.
Max opened its first restaurant in 1968 and prides itself on having established a presence in Sweden five years before McDonald’s.
