SOCIALDEMOCRATS

‘Two party leaders’ idea for Social Democrats

The Social Democrats should have two party leaders, former minister Lena Hallengren has said.

Hallengren, who was a minister for education in the last government, said she would like to see former sustainable development minister Mona Sahlin and European Commissioner Margot Wallström share the job.

“Margot could take care of external relations and contact with our members, Mona could look after the Riksdag. They are both very experienced and competent. Together they increase our effectiveness even more,” Hallengren told newspaper Barometern.

Hallengren said that she would promote the idea in the party’s local organisation in her home town of Kalmar.
