Posten buys form company

Strålfors, a Swedish company that produces printed forms, is to be bought by Posten, the state-owned postal service in a deal worth over 2 billion kronor. Posten is offering 95 kronor per share for the family firm, and Strålfors’ board has unanimously recommended that shareholders accept the bid.

The Parkander family, which controls 81.7 percent of the voting rights and 69.3 percent of the capital in Strålfors, has given Posten the option to buy all its shares in the company.

Strålfors’ second-largest shareholder, Skandia Liv, which controls 7.1 percent of the capital and 4.2 percent of voting rights, has said it is positive towards the bid.

The offer represents a 31 percent premium compared with the most recent traded share price on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Posten’s bid is worth a total of 2.031 billion kronor. Trading in Stråfors shares, which was suspended on Monday, has now been restarted.

Under the plan, the information technology giant will buy all shares of KMD Holding ApS for 8 billion kroner by the end of February next year, NEC said in a statement.

“Through this acquisition, NEC will acquire a business model that leverages platforms in the digital government domain as it aims to expand business from northern Europe to the whole of Europe and globally,” it said.

The acquisition will be finalised after NEC completes the necessary procedures, including getting the approval of the European Commission.
